Ingredients
Halal Ground Beef 1 lb (450g)
Onion 1 small, finely chopped (or substitute ground turkey)
Garlic 2 cloves, minced or pressed
Ground Cumin 1 tsp
Dried Oregano 1 tsp
Smoked Paprika 1 tsp
Sea Salt 1 tsp
Black Pepper 1/2 tsp, cracked fresh
Vegetable Oil 2 tbsp (or neutral oil)
Instructions
Sauté finely chopped onion in 1 tbsp oil until translucent (5-7 minutes). Add garlic and cook 30 seconds.
Add ground beef with second tbsp oil. Break up clumps with spatula until browned and juicy (5-7 minutes).
Stir in cumin, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook 2 minutes until fragrant.
Remove from heat. Cover and let rest 5 minutes for juicy results.
Notes
Use 15-20% fat ground beef for optimal juiciness. Microwave onion 30 seconds to reduce odor. Taste spices before adding to adjust balance. Covers retain moisture during resting period.
