Ingredients
1 package (14.3 oz) golden Oreo cookies
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
3 containers (8 oz each) whipped topping
1 box (0.3 oz) strawberry gelatin
2/3 cup boiling water
1/2 cup cold water plus ice cubes to make 1 cup
1 cup fresh strawberries, diced small
Additional strawberries for garnish
Crushed cookies for garnish
Chocolate curls for garnish
Instructions
Crush golden Oreo cookies into fine crumbs. Mix with melted butter and press into a 9×13-inch dish. Chill for 30 minutes.
Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Fold in 1 container of whipped topping. Spread evenly over the chilled crust.
Dissolve strawberry gelatin in boiling water. Add cold water and ice cubes until slightly thickened.
Fold diced strawberries and 1 container of whipped topping into the gelatin mixture. Spread over the cream cheese layer.
Spread remaining whipped topping evenly on top. Garnish with strawberries, crushed Oreos, and chocolate curls. Chill at least 4 hours before serving.
Notes
Chill for at least 4 hours; overnight yields the best texture and clean slices.
Do not freeze, as gelatin and whipped topping separate when thawed.
Add garnishes just before serving to keep them fresh.
For a sturdier crust, press crumbs firmly and chill the base well.
