Ingredients

- 200g plain flour
- 200g sugar
- 75g cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 240ml milk
- 120ml vegetable oil
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 240ml hot water
Instructions
- Preheat oven and prepare cake tin.
- Mix dry ingredients.
- Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla.
- Mix until smooth.
- Stir in hot water.
- Pour into tin.
- Bake until a skewer comes out clean.
- Cool before serving.
Notes
Use quality cocoa powder. Do not overmix batter. Batter will be thin. Let cake cool before slicing.
