Ingredients

4 to 6 ears fresh corn on the cob
2 tablespoons butter (or vegan butter alternative)
1 teaspoon coarse sea salt
Ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

Preheat grill to medium-high heat (375°F–400°F)
Leave corn in husks or remove, depending on preference
If using husks, remove silk and rinse ends
If removing husks, brush kernels with oil and wrap in foil
Place ears on grill, close lid
Grill 10–12 minutes, rotating every 3–4 minutes
Remove husks, brush with melted butter
Return to grill 3–5 minutes for char
Sprinkle with sea salt and pepper to serve

Notes

Use fresh, moist husks for steam cooking
Vegan butter is a suitable substitute
Aluminum foil prevents charring when grilling bare corn
Adjust salt to taste
