Ingredients
Ground beef 1 lb (450 g)
Taco seasoning 2 tbsp
Shredded cheddar cheese 1 cup (120 g)
Diced tomatoes 1 cup
Shredded lettuce 1/2 cup
Chopped onion 1/2 cup
Salsa 1/2 cup
Crushed tortilla chips 1/2 cup
Olive oil 1 tbsp
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
Place taco shells in a 9×13-inch oven-safe dish
Grease shells with 1 tbsp olive oil
Sprinkle crushed tortilla chips into each shell
Mix ground beef, taco seasoning, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, onion, and salsa
Spoon mixture into shells, dividing evenly
Bake for 35 minutes until golden and bubbly
Let rest 5 minutes before serving
Notes
Use Monterey Jack cheese for a milder flavor
Replace lettuce with spinach for extra protein
Add red onion for a tangy contrast
Use low-sodium canned tomatoes if desired
