- 4 slices thick bread
- 2 large eggs
- 120ml milk
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Whisk eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
- Dip each bread slice into the mixture.
- Heat butter in a pan over medium heat.
- Cook bread slices until golden brown.
- Flip and cook the other side.
- Serve warm with toppings.
Notes
Use slightly stale bread for best results. Do not oversoak. Cook on medium heat. Serve with maple syrup, honey, or fresh fruit.
