- 3–4 ripe bananas, mashed
- ½ cup melted butter
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- Mash bananas in a large bowl until mostly smooth.
- Stir in melted butter, sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
- Add baking soda, salt, and flour; fold gently until just combined.
- Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and smooth top.
- Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan; slice and serve.
Notes
Use overripe bananas for maximum sweetness. Add chocolate chips, nuts, or cinnamon for variation. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
