Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Mash bananas and mix with sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla.
- Combine flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in another bowl.
- Gently fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in walnuts or chocolate chips if desired.
- Pour batter into prepared pan.
- Bake 55–65 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in pan 10 minutes, then transfer to wire rack before slicing.
Notes
Use very ripe bananas for natural sweetness. Add cinnamon, nuts, or chocolate chips for extra flavor. Slice after cooling for best texture. Store tightly wrapped at room temperature or freeze for longer storage.
