Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry basil.
  2. Toast pine nuts lightly.
  3. Blend basil, nuts, garlic, and Parmesan.
  4. Add olive oil slowly.
  5. Blend until slightly textured.
  6. Season with salt and lemon.
  7. Adjust taste.

Notes

Use fresh basil only. Do not over-blend. Toast pine nuts for extra flavor. Store with olive oil layer on top to keep fresh.
