ABOUT ME
My name is Inaya, I’m 37 years old, and I grew up in a little town in England where the kitchen was always the heart of the house. I can still remember the sound of my mother’s kettle whistling and the smell of Sunday roast filling every corner—it was there that I learned that food is never just about eating, it’s about connection. Cooking has always been my way of telling stories, of bringing comfort, and of reminding people that no matter how busy life gets, we all deserve something delicious made with love.
When I was in my twenties, I began experimenting far beyond the classics I grew up with. I wasn’t afraid of burning a sauce or failing at a pie crust—I believed (and still do) that mistakes are often the best teachers in the kitchen. Over time, I found my own rhythm, blending the coziness of English home cooking with fresh, vibrant twists inspired by travels and friends. Now, at 37, I cook with a sense of freedom that only comes after many pots, pans, and a fair share of laughter over recipes gone wrong.
What excites me most these days is sharing food and recipes with women across the United States, especially in California, Texas, and New York City. I love the energy of those places—whether it’s the health-conscious spirit of California, the bold flavors of Texas, or the mix of cultures and styles in New York. I imagine women there juggling work, family, and everything in between, yet still wanting meals that are satisfying, nourishing, and maybe even a little fun to make.
I see my kitchen as a place where women can reclaim a bit of joy, whether it’s through a simple weekday dinner or a recipe that feels like a small celebration. I’m not here to present myself as a perfect chef—I’m here as a woman who knows the beauty of both triumphs and slip-ups in the kitchen. My philosophy is simple: cooking should empower you, not intimidate you. If a recipe feels like a hug, if it makes you smile when you sit down at the table, then I know I’ve done something right.
